Saving Maddie - by Varian Johnson

Josh is a young boy who is a preachers kid and loves this little girl Maddie. They are really amazing friends, then one day she has to move far away. Both young teens and adults could relate to this story, there is a day where everybody has to leave somebody they loved  or was best friends with.

Author Varian likes to keep you on the edge of your sit when your reading his books. He enjoys writing books about teenagers.

As we grow up,
Before our parents want us to,
While leaving every night,
Whenever we should not,
I remember the days all we wanted to do was play.

Whenever life was all about jokes,
Before it was full of drama,
While we played and laughed,
As the merry-go-round was spinning,
I remember the days where we did not care.
