Willa Cather's My Antonia is very eye catching. This was a very interesting book but i wouldn't want to read it again.
A great theme for this book would be, when everything around you gets tough, just keep on going don't stop. Someone reading this book could learn that they should never give up in something just because they have been told they are going to fail. The author's writing style is very easy to read and understand what is being said. There are two main characters Antonia and Jim. Jim is a boy that falls in love with Antonia in the beginning of the book. Antonia is a girl whom has to move to different states and is very poor. Most of the setting is done in Nebraska out in the country. It is a place where nobody really goes. They both Antonia and Jim move to Black Hawk, Nebraska and they become really good friends from there. Jim tries to push Antonia to learning English and getting an education. But things don't turn out the way they planned them to. Jim goes to college then to Harvard. Antonia has children and Jim becomes far apart from Antonia. Jim then gets married to Lena and still has feelings for Antonia. Everything falls apart but then in another way they fall together. I made a few connections to Antonia and even to Jim.
This is a book that I may read again or not just depends
